Angela Risigo

PT

Clinic Owner & Physical Therapist

Angela received her Master’s degree from Sacred Heart University in 1999 as part of the Charter Class. She was fortunate to be selected for rotations in orthopedics, acute care, dance medicine (which included work with the Hartford Ballet Company), and pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Her orthopedic rotation made a big impression on her. For eight years, Angela worked in orthopedics for Sports Plus—a part of Clemson Sports Medicine in Charleston, SC—primarily as a director of physical therapy in a surgical outpatient clinic. She also performed Functional Capacity Evaluations for ergonomic assessment.

After returning to Connecticut in 2008, Angela spent ten years providing home health care with Kindred at Home. During her time as the Rehab Team Lead, she was the Subject Matter Expert for their specialty programs including Musculoskeletal, Cardiopulmonary, Memory Care, and her favorite, Vestibular. She was also the State Trainer for their amazing Safe Strides program.

Angela’s favorite condition to treat is vertigo. With many ways to help vertigo, there is no reason anyone should continue to suffer! She is so enthusiastic about it that she became a Vestibular Certified Therapist in 2020 through The American Institute of Balance. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, including the special interest groups for aquatics, geriatrics, homecare, neurology and orthopedics.

Angela is excited to see new faces and friends here at River Rock. She finds fulfillment in lending a helping hand and providing a high level of service to help you live your best life!

Outside of work, Angela loves spending time with her family and friends. She is a Level 8 Gymnastics Judge and her favorite holiday by far is Halloween!
